Every teen faces challenges and our youth director, Jaye Locks, and her husband Andrew have been called to help teens, and to direct them to Jesus as their hope and salvation. From weekly youth meetings, special activities, service projects, to Convocation (a yearly youth meeting in Gatlinburg, TN), to Summer Camp, teens will enjoy a welcoming environment to make friends and to grow in the Lord and become equipped to serve Him.
Youth Meetings – Sunday evenings from 5:00 – 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall and Youth Room of the church with Bible study and fellowship, followed by a quick meal.
Convocation – the weekend of Martin Luther King holiday in mid-January (see calendar) in Gatlinburg, TN. Kids from several churches in our denomination gather for a great time to learn what is means to be a follower of Christ. Inspirational messages, discussions, meeting new friends, sharing, great music, sight-seeing in the beautiful Smoky Mountains and a lot of fun!
Church Camp – (see calendar for dates) A week-long Summer camp at Camp Timberlake in Millport, AL. A great time of praise and worship, learning about the Lord through lessons and sharing, new friendships, swimming (pool), game room, ropes, rock climbing wall, big swing, and zip line, beautiful lake with canoeing, and fishing, canteen, great meals and more!
